Care Instructions for Wooden Toys:
Cleaning:
To clean, gently wipe them with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using cleaning agents, as they can damage the finish. Be gentle and avoid scrubbing, as this can wear down the surface.
Water Exposure:
While wooden toys are not intended for use in water, brief water exposure will not usually harm them. If this happens, place the toy in a warm, dry area and let it air dry naturally. Avoid direct heat sources, as these can cause the wood to crack.
Durability:
Wooden toys are very sturdy, but they are not indestructible. Some designs may break if dropped onto a hard surface. Sturdier figures can withstand more rough play but still deserve careful handling.
Repair:
If a toy does break, don’t worry as it can be repaired. Apply a small amount of wood glue, clamp together and wipe any excess. Let the glue dry thoroughly before returning the toy to use. A small scar or crack can add character without diminishing the joy these toys bring.
Maintenance:
To keep your toys looking their best, we recommend applying a natural, food-safe oil or beeswax every few years, or sooner if the wood appears dry or worn. Use oils like cutting board oil or beeswax to help maintain the wood’s natural beauty and longevity.
